Planet positions from Astronomy Engine. A transit is a moving planet forming an exact angle (conjunction, sextile, square, trine or opposition) to a point in your birth chart: your Sun to Saturn, and with a birth time your Ascendant and Midheaven. “In effect” means within 2° (1.5° for Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). Exact dates are found to the minute and shown in your browser’s time zone; slow planets can pass the same point up to three times as they turn retrograde. Retrograde stations checked against Swiss Ephemeris to within an hour. The Moon’s contacts change every few hours, so the Moon is read by house instead.
